Is Now the Time to Buy?

Hi everyone, Edna Wilson here, your hometown realtor as hometown as apple pie, with this week's education corner. Today we’re going to be talking about a really fun question that I get a lot. Is now the time to buy?! So we’re sitting here at the end of March and the beginning of April 2021 and I've never seen the market like this. It is insane out there! Every house I put on the market is getting 7, 9, and 11, offers on the house. Yesterday just went for 20,000 OVER asking and this wasn’t like a super expensive house, just an average one! The house was priced at 185,000 and sold for 205,000!!! Never seen a market like this, so the question is; Is now the right time to buy?

Well, I’ll be very honest with you if you don’t have to move this second you might want to wait and just let the market cool off just a little bit because it is crazy. Now if you are interested in selling, now’s DEFINITELY the time to sell because of the market. I’ve never seen it like this before, its absolutely crazy hot so definitely time to sell definitely still a strong sellers’ market but if you have to buy we have some tricks up our sleeves that will help you buy at the right price, with the right money in place and the way we do that is very simple.

First of all, I've talked about this in other blogs and videos on my YouTube channel, come to a busy agent who can bring you a house that’s off-market before it even goes on the market. That’s a huge plus for you. Second,  you might want to think about making concessions like “hey sellers we’ll buy the house but you don’t have to clean before you leave ill clean it” Not a big deal but it might be the tip that gets you to win the bid.

Lots of tricks up my sleeve like that but in conclusion; now is not the best time to buy if you don’t have to but you have to buy make sure you're with a good agent who can help you navigate these choppy waters.
